MEET THE CREW

PAUL CINI – PRODUCER

“Hi, my name is Paul and I’m the producer for The Sound of Memories Documentary! Music hasn’t been a big part of my life until recently but now it’s ingrained in everyday life. Going to sleep with music has been the most soothing experience for me, even when the song isn’t really soothing at all. I hope we can all learn and explore music through this doc and party on!”

KELLSIE MCCULLOUGH – WRITER / DIRECTOR

“Hi my name is Kellsie McCullough I am the writer and director of The Sound of Memories. One of my favourite memories with music actually inspired me to begin this doc. My entire family was gathered together in my grandparents living room and my Dad decided to play Elvis Presley for my Grandma. That day I got to see my grandma dance  to Elvis Presley playing in the background. It was a beautiful moment that I will always cherish with her. Music has always been an important piece for my family and I can’t wait to share to with everyone how music is an important piece in life.”

AERIANA MACINA – DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

“Hey I’m Aeriana and I’m the Director of Photography for The Sound of Memories!

I don’t play any instruments but I’m usually listening to music for 99% of my day. I love taking the time to create playlists for every mood humanly possible!”

CORY GARRAWAY – ON-SET SOUND

“Hey everyone, I’m Cory Garraway, and I’m the on-set sound recordist for The Sound of Memories. One of my favourite memories I have with music is listening to my dad play the piano in the living room of our house when I was a kid. No matter where you were in the house you could hear the songs echo through the halls, and now that I’m learning the instrument myself using the exact same piano, practicing it always gives me a warm reminder of listening to his music wasting the day away.”

CHRISTIAN CANIETE – COMPOSER / SUPERVISING SOUND EDITOR

“Hi! My name is Christian Caniete. I like to listen to all sorts of music and play all sorts of instruments. My favourite band to listen to/steal inspiration from is Vulfpeck. I am The Sound of Memories’ Composer and Supervising Sound Editor.

My favourite memories with music had to be performing with my high school concert/jazz bands. I met some of my best friends there. I make music for films, and I make music for fun. Music is a huge part of my life, it’s my favourite medium of artistic expression, right behind editing Martin Arnold homages for experimental tradition class.”

WILLIAM MCNAUGHT – PICTURE EDITOR

“Hello there! I’m William McNaught, picture editor on The Sound of Memories! I joined this project because of the strong focus on music and how it shapes lives. This topic really speaks to me as I’ve met many of my closest friends through sharing music tastes. Many of my high school memories include going out for lunch in my car with friends while listening to new songs everyday. Both my parents are musicians and have influenced my childhood a lot. Whether it be from listening to music at home, or from attending their orchestras live in concert halls. I would love to learn how to play the violin, but for now, many more hours of practice are required.”

OLIVER GRAF – VISUAL EFFECTS

Hey howdy, my name is Oliver and I’m the VFX producer for The Sound of Memories! Music has always played a key role in my families life as well as my own. My playing days are behind me for the time being but there are few tasks I can complete without the help of a good playlist. I hope you enjoy what we’ve put together and can share in our mutual appreciation for musical arts!

SARAH JEWELL – SOCIAL MEDIA PRODUCER

Hey there! I’m Sarah Jewell, and I’m your social media producer as well as behind the scenes photographer for The Sound of Memories! Music is a big part of my life – I’ve been making monthly playlists since 2016 because they help keep my memories alive and help me relive moments that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise. Getting to know the wonderful foundation of Room 217 and learning about music care is an opportunity that I’ve been super excited about, and I’m glad you’re all here for the journey!
