Born and raised in the Toronto suburb of Brampton, Ontario, Jake Howard spent the majority of his childhood watching movies, reading books, playing video games, and enjoying the great outdoors. Having digested so many stories across a broad variety of mediums, Jake took to creative writing at a young age as a way to express his own artistic voice. As the years progressed, he developed a strong passion and admiration for the field of history, and sought to pursue a career in said field. Fate had other ideas, however, and Jake’s passion for storytelling and film won out, prompting him to study the artform at Sheridan College. Now in his third year of the school’s Bachelor of Film & Television program, Jake has taken to further refining his writing skills, creating numerous original screenplays and short stories. His latest ventures will be in the field of documentary, penning third year productions The Echo, and Overcome.
