Born and raised in Hamilton ON, Kayla found her love of film at an early age. Upon learning that film was a class they taught in high school, she jumped at the chance to take it and by grade 10, she had her eyes set on taking the film program at Sheridan. She is currently in her 3rd year of BFTV at Sheridan College continuing to further enhance her skills in Writing and Editing and hopes to one day become a screenwriter on her own tv show.
